A new Care Ward has been opened in a new building at Tiruchengode Government Hospital and also two buildings have been opened in the Government Schools near Tiruchengode by the Union Minister of State for Social and Empowment Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan on Monday (18/02/2008).

The Minister opened the Post-Operative Care Ward at the hospital which has been built at Rs.28 lakh under the scheme of “Namakku Naam” (நமக்கு நாம்) . Rotary Club of Tiruchengode has also chipped in with Rs.7 lakh.

The minister also opened two additional buildings at the Anangur Governemtn High School and Elachipalayam Government Higher Secondary School which built at Rs.5 lakh and Rs.5.4 lakh respectively.
